The NIHR has funded a new Research Support Service Public Health Specialist Centre (PHSC) comprising of two Hubs hosted by the Universities of Newcastle and Southampton.

Professor Mark Mon-Williams of the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Yorkshire and Humber, based at the Bradford Institute for Health Research, led on the newly published ‘Child of the North’ report which shows that schools in the Bradford District are losing out on hundreds of pounds of funding per pupil compared to those in London.
