The NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Yorkshire & Humber (YHARC) is hosted by Bradford Teaching Hospitals and is one of 10 ARCs across the country. The ARCs conduct applied health research to improve the health and wellbeing of the 5.4 million people in the Yorkshire & Humber region. We bring together expertise from universities, NHS trusts, local authorities and partners, and our ARC multidisciplinary teams work with the public to focus on addressing the major health challenges faced by our population. We have four themes; Healthy Families, Older People and Frailty, Mental Health and Urgent Care with over 100 projects/studies running at any one time. Our Theme Leads are academic experts in their areas and collaborate across many studies in BIHR.
