The Yorkshire and Humber Secure Data Environment is one of 12 secure NHS data storage and access systems which together create the NHS Research Secure Data Environment (SDE) Network.

The Yorkshire and Humber SDE ambition is to deliver improved patient care and safety, transform services, reduce inequalities and enhance life chances. We aim to become a flagship SDE by fostering more data-driven innovation and better partnerships with researchers, innovators and people we serve. It benefits from well-established collaboration across the region, which is the key strength behind the technology and projects running in the area. By connecting organisations across all three ICBs, the Y&H SDE becomes a unified “single front door” to access rich datasets.

By actively engaging with new and existing data providers, we strive to expand our datasets for enhancing patient care, sustaining the NHS, and supporting research and innovation.
