Stories of Safety, a new patient safety podcast by the NIHR Yorkshire and Humber Patient Safety Research Collaboration

The NIHR Yorkshire and Humber Patient Safety Research Collaboration (YH PSRC) have launched a new podcast series titled Stories of Safety. YH PSRC are a national centre for Patient Safety research that aims to develop and test innovations and interventions that lead to improvements in patient safety and the safety of healthcare services.

Hosted by Prof Jane O’Hara, theme lead for the Safer Systems, Cultures and Practices theme within the Yorkshire and Humber PSRC and a patient safety researcher for 15 years, Stories of Safety is a six part series of exclusive conversations with people who have shaped healthcare, such as Shaun Lintern, Prof Charles Vincent and Dr Jo Wailling, exploring the stories, science and policy that have shaped how we think about, manage and measure safety of healthcare.  The series will provide six different perspectives on what patient safety means, what has shaped patient safety, and what the future might look like.
