NIHR Patient Recruitment Centre Bradford

The Patient Recruitment Centre (PRC) Bradford was established in 2019, dedicated to setting up and delivering late phase commercial clinical trials in the NHS at pace and scale.

This programme has now closed and led to the establishment of the NIHR Bradford and West Yorkshire Commercial Research Delivery Centre (CRDC).

The Patient Recruitment Centre (PRC) Bradford was established in 2019, dedicated to setting up and delivering late phase commercial clinical trials ins the NHS at pace and scale.\n\nThe National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) launched five national patient recruitment centres (PRCs) to enable more late phase commercial clinical research to be delivered within the NHS and make it easier for people to take part in studies.\nThe Bradford centre is one of five regionally based PRCs funded through a £7 million investment as part of the Government’s Life Sciences Industrial Strategy and Sector Deal 2 – a series of measures to strengthen the UK environment for clinical research.\nThe centre is managed and operated by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and funded through the NIHR. The centres are the first NIHR-funded research infrastructure wholly dedicated to delivering commercial research.
