We are seeking an experienced researcher with expertise in research project management and qualitative research methodologies to take a lead role in a new research grant funded by National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). The study will aim to explore what makes it easier or harder for older people with frailty to manage their hearing loss and identify ways to better support them. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world-class research centre and to work with internationally-renowned experts.
The post holder will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of this project. This will involve setting up the research project and assume day-to-day responsibility for project management activities. The post holder will take a lead in implementing qualitative research for the study. Main duties will include co-ordinating applications for ethical and regulatory approvals, conducting interviews with older people in their homes, analysing data using qualitative methods, synthesising data collected using different methods, and hosting workshops with health care professionals and lay participants to review findings and generate recommendations.
