Job overview
We are seeking an experienced researcher with expertise in research project management and qualitative research methodologies to take a lead role in a new research grant which is an extension of our existing NIHR programme grant (RECREATE). The study will explore on how best to tailor our intervention focused on reducing sedentary behaviour in stroke survivors. Main duties of the job
The post holder will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of this project. The post holder will be involved in setting up the research project and will assume day-to-day responsibility for project management activities. The post holder will take lead in implementing qualitative research for the study, which will include conducting secondary analysis of the existing patient interview data, and running workshops for stakeholders (stroke survivors and health care professionals). Other responsibilities will include public engagement activities, data management and analysis, and providing regular progress reports.
The successful candidate will have a post-graduate degree or equivalent experience/qualification in a health or health/social care research related subject, have experience in project management, and considerable experience in undertaking and analysing qualitative research. Experience of co-design/co-production workshops is also essential.
There is an expectation that the post holder will be prepared to work flexibly and travel as required to attend local/regional/national meetings/events.
This post will be fixed term 12 months; both full-time and part-time options are available.
