Job overview

We are seeking an experienced Research Project Manager to take a lead role in developing the Wellbeing in Later Life in Bradford cohort as a novel risk-stratified longitudinal cohort to investigatefactors that may improve or reduce wellbeing in later life. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world-class research centre and to work with internationally-renowned experts.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of this project. The post holder will take the lead in the setup and day-to-day running of the cohort, which will include liaison with general practices, Clinical Research Networks and line management of Ageing Researchers. Other responsibilities will include public engagement activities, data management and analysis, and providing regular progress reports.

The successful candidate will have a post-graduate degree or equivalent experience/qualification in management or a health or health/social care research related subject, have experience in leading projects, managing a team and implementing cohort studies/randomised controlled trials. Clinical and /or research experience in the field of elderly care and/or palliative care is essential.

There is an expectation that the post holder will be prepared to work flexibly and travel as required to attend local/regional/national meetings/events.

This post will be 3 years (likely to extend), part-time.
