This is a unique opportunity that will suit a self-motivated and dynamic individual who can work across a broad range of sectors across Bradford to ensure community voices influence the exploration of public acceptance of routine data in an initiative led by City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council’s (CBMDC) Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC).

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the CBMDC HDRC team in advancing a patient and public involvement and co-production initiative associated with a NIHR PHR programme across Bradford. They will engage partner organisations and members of public in order to gauge views about the use and sharing of routine data using a variety of innovative and inclusive methods. They will support the partner organisations with planning and delivery of co-production, community engagement and communication and provide support to the Senior Research Fellow.

The post holder will work in close association with the Project lead and, where appropriate, will deputise for them in meetings and conferences.

The Community Engagement Project Officer will spend time with communities, including children and young people, their parents and teachers as well as underserved and vulnerable groups across Bradford to gather intelligence related to data acceptability and use such as Connected Bradford and Bradford Council Data Sharing Project.

The postholder will work in a team environment and support the Senior Research Fellow and HDRC, which is part of the Centre for Co-production and Peer Research. The postholder will travel across Bradford to conduct their work and may occasionally need to attend regional and national meetings and conferences to represent the Bradford Council Data Sharing Project.
