Born in Bradford is a world-leading research programme dedicated to understanding what helps families stay healthy and happy. Since 2007, we have been following thousands of families enrolled in our three birth cohort studies. Today, we hold a connected routine dataset of health, social care and education data for more than 700,000 people living in Bradford and Airedale.

Born in Bradford brings together a wide range of experts in children’s healthcare research. We work in partnership with the local authorities, health, education and voluntary sector providers to design, deliver and evaluate ambitious initiatives that improve population health.

Our research has directly shaped major policies and practices, improving health and wellbeing of communities in Bradford and beyond.
